I woke up at 1:00 AM this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I was feeling discouraged about my career choice as a picture book illustrator so I looked up as many illustrating blogs as I could for tips, advice and motivation. One claimed the Scribble Technique can do wonders, so I tried it and this came out. I'd have to say that I strongly agree that it's a quick way to get the anatomy, composition, pose and detail you're aiming for. Note: When I say "quick" I mean it took maybe 5 minutes to scribble and then about 2 hours to clean up. Don't be like me, don't feel like you're less of an artist if drawings take longer than 10 minutes to complete. Art isn't about speed.
